O.R. Kovtunenko, A.V. Sayapin
This article is devoted to the work on the literary text of works of Italian and French chamber and opera music, as well as to the feature of vocal phonetics when performing this music. Qualitative pronunciation of the text of the opera libretto and the literary text of a chamber vocal work, along with vocal technique and artistry, is the most important aspect of professionalism in modern conditions. Phonology gives us an idea of the speech pronunciation norms used in academic singing of languages, however, the norms of their use in singing remain outside the research area of this science. The authors, based on the analysis of research literature and their own rich performing experience, tried in this article to highlight the most important aspects of work in learning and performing French and Italian vocal music.
Keywords: vocal technology, international phonetic alphabet, phoneme, vocal and speech phonetics, vocal reduction, breathing support.
