Music and Time Annotation << Back Nalchik Music School – the First Step of Vocational Music Education of Kabardino-Balkaria O.A. Sizhazheva The article is devoted to the study of the problems of the formation and development of professional music education in Kabardino-Balkaria based on the study of the history of the creation and functioning of the first professional music educational institution - Nalchik Music College (NMC). The article contains important details and aspects of the development of this educational institution, which influenced the process of formation of the musical education system of the studied region. The main content of the study is a detailed retrospective and comparatively historical analysis of the departments and activities of NMC. The research results contain information that may be useful in historical, ethnocultural and spiritual studies of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. They can serve as an aid in the study of the education system of the Russian Federation as a whole and professional music education in particular.
