Music and Time Annotation << Back Shaman songs of the Nanai of the Amur river in mytho-ritual practice the end of XIX – beginning of XX centuries: (historical-cultural aspect) T.Yu. Sem This article analyzes the unique texts 4 shamanic songs-prayers of the Nanai of the Amur river, accompanying the ritual of shamanic ritual during Big Wake (Funeral), published for the first time. Lyrics are stored in the archives of the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (Kunstkamera) in St. Petersburg and was recorded in the 30-ies of XX century the well-known Russian ethnologist A.N. Lipsky and N.A. Lipsky from the great shaman Bohdano Onenko, Dzhuen in Khabarovsk region. The content of shamanistic songs of the Nanai includes cosmogonic mythology, cultural acts of the forefathers, the creation of the world, the maintenance of harmony in the world (the story of 3 suns and arrow), opening the way to the world of the dead and the emergence of the first shamans, as well as communication of the shaman with spirits and journey with the soul to the underworld. In comparison with the myths published previously, in this embodiment, the mythology included in song and prayer genre and includes many previously unknown details, what is its special value. The article also provides an analysis of the stages of the ritual commemoration of the Big Wake (Funeral), and the musical accompaniment of the ritual. Shamanistic attributes and objects used during the ritual, a Big Wake (Funeral), are characterized on the basis of collections of the Russian Ethnographic Museum. In the conclusion the author came to the conclusion about the content in question shamanic songs-prayers mytho-archetypal content associated with the Genesis of shamanism as a phenomenon of religion.
