Transformation Genre Genesis in Rock Cultre. V. Okorokov, A. Tchaikovsky, K. Emerson |
A.A. Vinichenko
The article is devoted to the analysis of four rock-toccatas – the works of Vitaly Okorokov (from the suite "Apocalypse"), Alexander Tchaikovsky, Manfred Schmidtz and Keith Emerson (which is a fantasy-paraphrase by the finale of the First Piano Concerto by Alberto Hinastera). In connection with the last work, the features of his genre module are analyzed, depending on the features of some form transformations, timbral and rhythmic keys of the original score. The entire spectrum of the musical language of the four works is also subjected to analysis: from the interaction of stylistic complexes and rhythmic intonation dramaturgy to textured and timbre features. A number of conclusions are drawn about the reasons for the conversion of rock musicians to the genre of toccata. There are also opinions on the existence of the principle of variation in rock music. At the end of the article, a conclusion is drawn about the innovative features of the traditional genre of the stylistic spaces of rock music, which are formed under the influence of the laws of micro- and macro-language.
