Music and Time Annotation << Back The symphony "Courage" by Alexander Dzegelyonok: on the Problem of the Adaptation of the Genre for the Brass Band in Music P.A. Belik In the given article the author is considering the score of this composition in the context of the history symphony genre. Item marks the peculiarities of the open programming in which the hierarchy of the components of the musical contents favors the conception in activity both in functioning and reflecting image. The structural-semantic peculiarities, tempo-rhythm, thematic intercommunications present necessary means for the inner semantic unity of all the movements of the symphony. In the result of the analysis of the sonata-symphonic cycle by A. Dzegelyonok the author reveals the conformity with the strivings in the creative work of home composers for the gender performing staff the symphonic orchestra. We also see here the striving to preserve the genre invariant and to interpret the successes achieved "in the search of alternatives of the canon". The dependence on social-artistic, culturological and individual creative factors determines the individualization of the historically-mobile relations between structure and semantics. By the stability of a number of form-building principles en Dzegelyonok’s symphony we can observe certain originality of the structure, caused by the peculiarity of the musical contents of the composition. The logical succession, of the movements, relatively completed, which reveal separate sides of the whole, forms the completed picture of the world. In the finale there’s asseverated the author’s interpretation of the world, his philosophical comprehension of existence.
