Music and Time Annotation << Back Principles of Musical Thinking in the Symphonies for the Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra P.A. Belik In the symphonies for the Russian folk instruments orchestra there are marked out a number of reiterated characteristic of thinking with sound images, development of the musical scheme characterising both the idea content aspect of music and the peculiar quality of the inner organization of the musical work. Standard-regulating (but not disputed) and social dynamics of thinking depends on the peculiarities of using old-classical and symphonic artistic methods. The outlook position of S.N. Vasilenko in his Italian Symphony and of R.M. Glier in his Fantasy-Symphony is realized, first of all, in the static’s of old-classical thinking. In the synthesis of old-classical and symphonic artistic methods the first mentioned is more important. In the symphonies of composers in 70-ies in the XXth – and early XXIst centuries, concentrated on the image-bearing sphere of philosophical thinking there is vividly seen synthesis of the old-classical and symphonic methods of thinking with the evident priori of the latter. The results of the analysis of symphonies bring to light the tendencies, typical for the instrumental staff given; namely: interdependence on the home legacy, striving for harmony of being, actively working out the intonation of Russian folklore and of other national cultures, symbolism, allegories, symbolic themes.
