Music and Time Annotation << Back Archive Recordings and Research of Udmurt Folk Instrumental Music in 1937–1941 E.А. Korotaeva Udmurt folk instrumental music recordings and writings by group of researchers under Yevgeny Ghippius direction held in tha late 1930s has a special role in the subject research. The material for the article are both recordings kept in Records Archive made in 1937 and notations by F. Rubtsov, V. Ghippius, Z. Evald and others. Complex analysis of Udmurt folk instruments and tunes, discription of playing tecnique as well as instruments’ tunings are presented in the article.
