Music and Time Annotation << Back The Principles of Y. Kasparov`s Methods of Composition on the Example of the Cicle«Symbols of Picasso» N.A. Travina The article dedicated to the cicle «Symbols of Picasso» written by modern composer Y.S. Kasparov (1955). The composer has chosen one period of Picasso`s creative life and made it sound by means of new harmonious mode. The composition`s principles employed by Kasparov not only continue the traditions of his predecissors (first of all, E. Denisov), but develop new aspects – in particular, new forms of using harmonious means. Analysing the cicle the author of the present work has come from searching for «standart» serial rows and transformations to deduction of the formula of the Kasparov`s harmonious language. In the article there is also the interview with Kasparov where he has described his method of composing music and other theoretical aspects.
