Music and Time Annotation << Back Pedagogical Methods in Violin Performance: Discussion, Analysis, Evaluation M.A. Gotsdiner In this article the author describes how to share his own experience and knowledge with the younger generation of musicians and performers. He brings to one’s attention different pedagogical techniques, including an authoritarian and directive method, as well as substantiative and explanatory method. The combination of the above methods allows a student to learn necessary performing techniques and an artistic side of the performance. The author describes a necessary possibility and desire of the student to become a whole artistic individual. All of the above is illustrated accordingly to the student’s age and proficiency level.
