Music and Time Annotation << Back To a Problem of Preservation of National and Song Tradition in the Authentic Environment (a Note of the Collector of Folklore) N.N. Gilyarova The article is devoted to the preservation and revitalization of intangible cultural heritage in Russia. It assesses the status of traditional culture during the second half of the 20 century and it’s crisis now . The author shows a way out of the crisis on the example of Vologda and Krasnodar region, where at the regional level, laws to conserve and restore traditional folk culture were enacted and it certainly stimulated the revival of folk art. The work of professional folklorists seems equally important. In Russia were assembled a representative collections of audio recordings. Their records stored in various funds have not only historical and artistic value, but they are important, if not primary, component of the returning process of folklore to the place of the original existence.
