Govar This article is devoted one of the actual social and cultural problems connected with communicative potential of the genre of piano miniatures in modern concert practice. This article discusses two types of communication between the performers and the audience – a concert and chamber performance, the difference between which are determined primarily, the criteria of scale. The article emphasizes that the increasing relevance of chamber performance style in modern conditions causes the active involvement of genre the miniatures in piano-performing activities. Style variety of miniatures, in which compact form combined with semantic richness, can contribute to solving complex tasks to enhance the cultural and performing space. Active use of modern piano miniatures of Russian composers in performing practice can become the dominant means of educating the taste of a wide audience.
