Music and Time Annotation << Back Genres of a Choral Concert and the Oratorio in Valery Kalistratov's Creativity Yu. Tikhonova Article is devoted to works of the modern folklore direction and considers them on models of creativity of Valery Kalistratov, one of prominent representatives of domestic music. Genres of a choral concert and the oratorio, still remaining both traditional for modern Russian music, and indicative from the point of view of evolution of a modern folklore direction are analyzed. In the presented examples the new figurative contents connected with revival of traditions of the Russian sacred music (a choral concert), new figurativeness of the oratorios which subject is turned to depths of the Russian history and culture is accented. New receptions of an intoning, the sound high-rise organization, impressive features on the basis of the principle of the generalized concert, staging elements are come to light. The numerous quotation folklore sources connected with a wide range of their regional options are reflected in analyses.
